The word “individualistic” used by one interviewee to define feminism is not terribly helpful, particularly as there is a perception that some women simply exploit feminism for personal gain (with a feminist clique mirroring the male-only nepotism). Men can be feminists and it is probably time the movement was rebranded as equalism. Obviously women have lots to complain about (the pay gap, the way they are presented as sex objects, etc.), but I think men are often treated appallingly when they are barely able to see their kids and yet are expected to fork out alimony well beyond the needs of the child.
